I sat waiting all day in my safe pre Op area thinking of her. She never came this day, not because she recovered but because the procurement team was matching up her kidneys and lungs.
No brain waves I read.
Her heart and liver would not be needed related to IV drug use. The values of the heart can be seeded with infection and the liver is at risk for Hep C.
Being kept alive. So sad. All day. What was keeping them!!!

The leg was still attached as the surgeon cleared out some of the marrow so two holes could be drilled so some hardware could be screwed in to attach a prosthesis into mid leg after healed.
I asked what happens to this type of body part... it goes to the moarge.
Doctors usually describe kidney stones as crystal shapes....I find it kinda weird when people ask me if they can have their kidney or galbladder stones for jewerly- can not imagine what they are thinking. Ugh
